Schedule of Classes at the Schuler School of Fine Arts
Academic Schedule
Full-Time
The academic year (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.) is divided into two semesters of approximately 14 weeks each. The fall semester runs from the first Wednesday of October through January, with a mid-December holiday. The spring semester runs from early February to mid-May.
Evening School
Evening school is one term (7-9 p.m.) from the first Wednesday of October to Easter break, approximately 22 weeks. Tuesday classes include drawing, still life oil painting, watercolor, and sculpture. Wednesday classes offer portrait painting in various media.
Summer School
Summer school is one term of six weeks, from late June to early August. Morning classes offer the option of landscape painting at several picturesque locations or studio classes (drawing, oil painting, sculpture). Portrait painting is taught every afternoon, as is still life painting and drawing.
The Young Artists Program
The Young Artists Program is for ages 13 – 18 and takes place on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Fundamentals of art are taught and included are live and video demonstrations by the Schuler School staff. There are 5 four week classes starting in late September and ending in late May.
The Student Exhibition
The Student Exhibition is held the first Sunday and Monday of June. A holiday show of works by students, faculty, and invited guests is presented the first Sunday in December.

It is the policy of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design that no person shall be subject to discrimination in whatever relationship with the Association because of sex, race, color, creed, religion, or national origin.
As a private, nonaccredited school, no government financial assistance exists either for the school or for students. We do not participate in any government program, such as Pell Grants, federal student loans, or the deferred loan program.
Foreign students cannot expect to be issued student visas (I-20) based on acceptance to our school.
Because of the unique nature of the training, all students begin as freshmen regardless of their previous education or experience.
The Schuler School of Fine Arts reserves the right to change any curricular offering, policy governing students, or financial regulation whenever and as the requirements of the school demand.
